Snow Day!
It's been snowing at the Dahl house and being a mature teenager I should be annoyed, but I'm still a little kid at heart and it's a bit strange how much I love snow :) It is the best feeling to look outside and see your whole world turned into the scene of a marshmallow factory explosion. You can imagine how quickly I abandoned all plans of getting anything productive done when we woke up to a heavy snow and around three inches covering the ground.
We all agreed that the only upside about moving into a house with a monstrously steep driveway was the absolutely unreal sledding track. It was a tad bumpy, and we are all a bit battered and bruised from somersaulting off the sled multiple times. Also the telephone pole and the ditch conveniently placed at the bottom of our track did not help with the safety of the trail. But, it was completely worth it.
Me, (trying) to take some artsy snow profiles of Matthew.

Dear Dahl Family,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the Christmas card and news of the family. Yes, we made it to Wichita safely if not very tired. Had our family here for Christmas. And we miss you all too. Is the mower we fixed still mowing (not in the snow, of course)? Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. By the way, I have one correction in the first line of the above Dec. 23 posting: "mature teenager"--there ain't no such animal!!! Maturity is achieved when the "ex-teenager" has teenagers of their own! LOL

Glad you made it and had a nice Christmas. We mowed the lawn a couple of times with the new mower before the winter came.- Doug
